🎧 KALEIDOSONIC — my debut album — is a deep dive into the colorful chaos of sound. Five tracks, one mind behind it all. Every instrument, every groove, every mix and master — all me.

It’s jazz fusion with no seatbelts: complex harmonies crash into shifting polyrhythms, classical textures melt into funk grooves, and time signatures twist like mirrors in a sonic kaleidoscope. From intimate jazz ballads to full-blown rhythmic puzzles, Kaleidosonic is my personal playground of sound and structure.

ABOUT

ABOUT LUCA

Dumitru Dan-Luca (born December 16, 2002, in Arad, Romania) is a contemporary jazz and fusion musician, multi-instrumentalist, and composer. Introduced to music early by his parents, he began studying piano and drums at five, later embracing guitar, bass, and clarinet. His artistic foundation was shaped by mentors Titus Frențiu (drums), Pali Borsos (piano), and Cosmin Harbei (guitar), and further strengthened through studies at the “Sabin Drăgoi” College of Arts in Arad.

Largely self-taught beyond formal education, Luca delves into complex rhythms, shifting meters, and expressive harmonies, constantly exploring new ways to merge intellect, emotion, and groove. He has been admitted twice to the Berklee College of Music—for Jazz Drums and for Composition & Production—and to the conservatories in Breda and Tilburg (Netherlands).

Performing across Romania, Luca appeared at major festivals such as Jazz in the Park (2024 – Best Romanian Band), Gărâna Jazz Festival, Timișoara Jazz Festival, and Deva Jazz Festival, among others. Influenced by Chick Corea, Tigran Hamasyan, Dali Mraz, Yussef Dayes, Avishai Cohen, and Dhafer Youssef, he blends tradition with experimentation.

His debut album, KALEIDOSONIC (2025), composed, performed, and produced entirely by him, unveils a vivid universe of polyrhythms, rich harmonies, and lyrical depth—marking him as one of the emerging voices of modern European jazz.
